As I have spent time in the massage therapy and essential oil industry, I have learned so much about different treatments and how they are beneficial to the body. Thanks to doTERRA's AromaTouch technique, I was inspired to develop my own version of this treatment. This method uses eight different essential oils layered on the back and feet to create a sense of mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Here's how it works!

Aromatouch is formed from five different treatments that I've learned over the years. These include Aromatherapy, Hot Stone Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology, and Swedish Massage.

How It Works

  1. We first start off using the dry brush. This helps remove dead skin and open up pores, which allows the essential oils to absorb deeper into the body.
  2. The oils are dropped along the back, and then massaged in a way to help increase circulation. I then drop oils along the spine, massaging in a pumping action to help promote lymphatic drainage.
  3. Between essential oils, we use hot stones to help loosen the tight muscles and provide deeper relaxation for the mind.
  4. Once we're done with the back, we perform reflexology for 10 minutes, using Peppermint and Wild orange.
  5. We always recommend drinking water before your appointment, but we highly recommend that you drink half your body weight in water after the treatment. This treatment is a detox, so it's important to give your body enough hydration to effectively eliminate all of the toxins.

Essential Oils

If you find yourself to be leaning towards homeopathic remedies, essential oils are a great place to start. These oils are great for health and beauty, and each oil is known to have a different aroma and impact on the body. Due to the many benefits oils provide, each essential oil I use for Aromatouch serves a specific purpose.

Balance and Lavender

These oils have a calming effect as they are used to help reduce stress and prompt relaxation.

On Guard and Melaleuca

These are great immune system boosters and have cleansing and regenerative properties.

AromaTouch and Deep Blue

These two blends are specifically designed to help reduce internal inflammation, relax and soothe irritated muscles, and ease achy joints.

Wild Orange and Peppermint

We use these oils to bring your body back to homeostasis, which means "balance for your body."

Adaptive

Lastly, I use the adaptive blend, which is created by doTERRA scientists and doctors to help calm the nervous system. It's perfect for life's most stressful moments – not to mention the aroma is incredible!
